My camera brand is...

...Canon because that's what I started with and I have just stuck with it. I don't have any experience with other brands, so I don't know what they have to offer - but I firmly believe that cameras don't take photographs - photographers do, so a particular brand is not important to me.

I love photography because...

...the opportunity to capture a moment in time that is otherwise lost forever is a magical thing. I also see photography as a means of escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  Indeed, I know a number of people who use photography as their lifeline when times get really tough and as an amateur photographer I fully understand and and appreciate that.

I have been on my photography journey since...

...attending a photography course in Lisburn college in 2012/13, although before that I was always the one with the point and shoot camera at family weddings, looking for that candid shot the official photographer didn't have the opportunity to capture.

The type of photography I would lean towards would be...

...Landscapes, they are the safer option -  landscapes don't need direction or talk back to you! However, as I gain more confidence with my camera, portraits, street photography, and candid shots are becoming more attractive.

I enjoy being part of the Raw Photographic club because...

...as one of the founding members, the club means a great deal to me.  I’ve made some very good friends within the Club since it was set up in 2013.  Supporting members in achieving their own personal photography goals is really important to me and I get a huge amount from that.
