RAW Photographic Camera Club's End-of-Year Dinner – Laughter, Lenses & Looking Ahead!

As another year in the RAW Camera Club wound to a close, we gathered for our annual end-of-year dinner — a time to reflect, reconnect, and, of course, reignite the eternal debate: Nikon vs. Canon vs. Sony. Some traditions never die.

Great company, good good… and the banter was rife!

Held at The Crafty Hound, the evening was filled with familiar faces, hearty laughs.

But as always, it wasn’t just about the food. It was the company — the people behind the lenses — that made the night so special. From seasoned shooters to the newest members still figuring out which way the lens cap goes, the room was full of passion and shared stories.

The Real Main Course: The Camera Debate

No RAW event is complete without at least one friendly firestorm over camera brands. This year’s dinner table saw a spirited exchange of ideas (and a few playful jabs)

In the end, we all agreed: it’s not the gear, it’s the eye behind it. (Well… most us!)

As full bellies gave way to full calendars, excitement turned toward the upcoming club year.

The energy was unmistakable — we’re more than a club, we’re a creative community. And 2025 is looking sharp already. Here’s to another year of capturing life
