Fight Club!

Last night, Raw Photographic Club hosted Focus Camera Club in the 2nd annual Print Battle between the 2 clubs.

    Stakes were high as Focus clinched the title last year, so it was all to play for.

    A great turnout between the 2 clubs in the Bridge Community Centre was wonderful to see and we were met by a fantastic spread of buns, cakes and biscuits. Fighting sustenance!

Matthew Canning DPAGB was the judge for the evening and as we settled into the first half, Raw were steaming ahead, winning 4 rounds out of 5.

After a coffee break and a cookie or 2, we got back to the 2nd half. Focus started clawing back wins to make it 5-4 to Raw. It all came down to the final image and the topic was The Devil's in the Detail. Despite a very clever Man Utd Red Devil entry from Focus, our judge went with Raw's image. We took the title 6-4... a VERY close call and rightly so, because the calibre of work Focus produced was exceptional.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening all round and it was so nice to get chatting to the members of Focus. Best of 3 next year? Lol!
