The month of October delivered three more Zoom Workshops for the Club’s “Novice” group who clearly demonstrated they were having fun and enjoying the step by step approach the Workshops have adopted to learning the art of photography.
During the month the group examined and completed practical exercises on the following topics:-
Metering - how to set up the camera’s Metering modes and in what situations we might use those modes.
ISO - how to change the ISO values and the impact those values have on the images we capture.
Aperture - one of the three pillars of the Exposure Triangle (the other two being Shutter Speed and ISO). The group gleaned a basic understanding of how changing the camera’s aperture settings affected the amount of light entering the camera’s sensor. (The group will continue to examine aperture settings in more detail in future workshops and in particular how the aperture is one factor that contributes to the ‘Depth of Field’ in our images).
If this step by step approach to learning the art of photography appeals to you then reach out to us at RAW Photographic where you will not only meet like-minded people, have access to a very exciting programme of events but also have the opportunity to 'go back to the basics' with your photography through our Novice Zoom Workshops.
And of course, always remember....“Have fun and enjoy what you do".
