I love photography because...

I enjoy tuning in to my surroundings and looking for things to capture. I like the way photography distracts you and gives you something else to focus on – a kind of stress relief. I also like the way photography records a permanent record of places you visit and love – like Donegal or visiting another country.

I have been on my photography journey for...

as long as I can remember. I’ve always enjoyed taking photos but it's only in the last year that I’ve made a conscious effort to try and improve and move beyond auto on the camera.

My favourite type of photography is...

landscapes and nature but I am starting to enjoy macro photography.

​

 

What I like about Raw Photographic...

is that the monthly challenges force me to think about taking photos of things I would never have considered before. I think I have learned a lot just by trying new things. I like seeing what other members post and finding out about how they took certain shots and processed them.
